About WECode

WECode (Women Engineers Code) is the largest student-run conference for women in computer science in the country. We're dedicated to expanding the skills, network, and community of technical women worldwide, bringing together a diverse group of engineers over the course of two days to share ideas and conversations on technology and innovation.

All genders are encouraged to attend! Enjoy empowering keynotes, intimate workshops, and the opportunity to mingle with industry leaders from top tech companies. Expand your network, strengthen your connection to the community of women in computer science, and explore new areas of interest.

Housing

If you are interested in attending WECode but are not sure where to stay during the conference, consider applying for housing within student dorms in the Cambridge-Boston area. Every year, the WECode team matches as many housing applicants as possible with student hosts. Most attendees will be housed in student dorms through the duration of the conference. Housing recipients will be announced on a rolling basis.

Housing applications may be submitted before Jan 15, 2020 at 11:59pm EST (or before the housing limit is reached).

Scholarships

If you need financial assistance, WECode is offering scholarships to cover the cost of the conference ticket and travel up to $100/student. Scholarships are offered on a need and merit-based model, and only currently enrolled undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Recipients will first cover their own tickets and travel expenses, then will be reimbursed via Venmo or check at the conference registration booth. Scholarship recipients will be announced on a rolling basis.

Scholarship applications may be submitted before Jan 15, 2020 at 11:59pm EST (or before the scholarship limit is reached).

Hosting

If you are interested in a free conference ticket and are a current student in the Cambridge-Boston area, consider hosting an attendee. Hosts must first purchase their Eventbrite tickets on their own (select “Host Tickets” during checkout), which WECode will then reimburse at the conference registration booth. If you would like a ticket, please register as soon as possible on Eventbrite. Hosts will receive reimbursements for their WECode Eventbrite ticket cost, as well as be entered into a raffle to win prizes.

Hosting applications may be submitted before Jan 15, 2020 at 11:59pm EST.
